Day 7: Departure
Day 1: Arrive in Paro.
Your flight to Bhutan (Paro) is considered to be world’s most spectacular flight crossing over beautiful Himalayas. If one is staying near the window side, one can see Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makula, and other high peaks such as Jumolhari. You will be welcome by green beautiful Paro valley with eye catching gigantic dzong (fortress) of Paro. Upon reaching, Bhutan Inner Peace Travel’s Representative will be there to escort you to your hotel for checkin.
In the evening scroll small Paro town on your own or relex in the hotel.
Day 2: Paro Sightseeing
Start your moring with good breakfast and cup of tea as today you will be hiking and biking at the same time to the one of the most iconic monastery in the country to the Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Check your bicycle and after that proceed towards the base of the tiger’s nest crossing small Paro town, Nyemjo village, luxury 5 star hotel Zhiwaling and then taking right turn crossing metal bridge and further climbing up till the base. Upon reaching take rest for a while and proceed with the hike to the tiger’s nest which will take around 2-3 hours to the temple depending upon the pace of your walk.
After descending down take your bike and proceed further down to visit Kyichu Lhakhang one of the oldest temple in the country which is believed to have been built during 8th century by the Tibetan King Songson Gompo.
Evening stroll old Paro town and peep into some local handicrafts stores and also if you like your guide will be arranging hot stone bath as it will be relieving experience especially after the hike.
Day 3:Paro-Thimphu
Today after your breakfast proceed towards Thimphu on your bike. Distance 65 Km. Begin: 2200m, End: 2300m.
The route is easy one as it has no major climb or drop. You will be following Paro river and Thimphu river side by side on your journey, stop on the way to visit 600 year old temple known as Tachogang Lhakhang on foot and after that resume your biking crossing Chhu zomsa (Confluence of two rivers) Thimphu river and Paro river. Upon reaching lunch and rest for a while and then sightseeing in the afternoon then checkin in your hotel.
Day 4: Thimphu Sightseeing
Start your moring with good breakfast and cup of tea as today you will be hiking and biking at the same time. Distance 12 km. Bike north of Thimphu valley towards Tango Monastery. Upon reaching the base hike to the monastery which will take around 45minutes approx to the Monastery. Descending down bike towards the base of Cheri Monastery where you will stopping to have your lunch near by beautiful stupa and river. Afternoon free.
Day 5: Thimphu-Dochula-Paro
After your breakfast bike to Dochula Pass, today you will be having steady climb up to Dochula Pass at elevation of 3150m. Upon reaching you will be amazed with beauty that you can see. If weather permits one can see on stretch of 180 degree beautiful Himalayan ranges. Lunch at the pass then drop down and proceed towards Paro.
Day 6: Paro-Haa-Paro (Day excursion)
Today’s route will be one of the most challenging as you will be climbing to the highest pass of Bhutan at the elevation of 3980m, from where you will be able to see beautiful snow clapped mountain Jhomolhari 7314m. After the pass drop down to the valley of Haa. Pinic Lunch and Afternoon back to Paro by car.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast Bhutan Inner Peace Travel’s representative will escort you till the airport and bid you farewell at the airport.
